June 17, 2026 — Madrid, Spain — Aquópolis Villanueva de la Cañada has officially opened Kilauea to the public, marking the debut of a one-of-a-kind Water Coaster experience in Europe. The attraction welcomed its first guests on June 12 following a media event attended by more than 200 journalists, content creators, and industry guests, all eager to experience the ride firsthand.
As Aquópolis Villanueva de la Cañada approaches its 40th anniversary of entertaining generations of visitors, the park is launching the 2026 season with its most ambitious attraction to date. Kilauea, a ProSlide RocketBLAST Water Coaster, anchors Mana Nui, an entirely new area that expands the park by 4,682 square metres.
