Two press releases issued by Valo Motion ahead of the show. Full versions are in Documents & Links.
1. VALOBOARD — 8 September 2026
Valo Motion launches ValoBoard, a new mixed-reality attraction with the fantasy of board sports. ValoBoard marks Valo Motion's second new product of 2026, following Groundfall.
ValoBoard is the 5th product in the Valo Motion product line, and the first one built around a physical controller. Guests step onto a tilt board, and ValoVision, Valo Motion's proprietary full-body-tracking technology, places them inside the game world on the screens in front of them. Instead of controlling an on-screen avatar, players see themselves as the game character.
Footprint: 15 m² (161 ft²) at a standard 2.7 m (8'11") ceiling, with no structural changes to the building. Sessions run 2 to 3 minutes. Unmanned, with no wearables and no headsets. Three original games at launch: Sunset Skaters, Trickpunk Snowboarding and Spinblades. Suitable for guests aged 6 and up.
2. GROUNDFALL AND 10 YEARS OF VALO MOTION — 25 August 2026
Valo Motion celebrates 10 years and brings new product Groundfall to IAAPA Expo Europe 2026. Groundfall is a dedicated mixed-reality game built around the "floor is lava" concept that became the most-played experience across ValoArena installations worldwide.
It comes in 19 configurations, hosting 4 to 10 players at a time, with a throughput potential of up to 200 players an hour at full capacity at its largest configuration. A smaller footprint, from 20 to 49 m² (215 to 527 ft²), and a lower ceiling height of 2.8 m (9'2"), mean it is ideal for remodelling projects.
Valo Motion was founded in Finland in August 2016. Its games are played more than 320,000 times a day across 2,000+ units sold at 1,100+ customer locations in over 80 countries.
