EDUTour: Ocean Park Hong Kong

Discover how Ocean Park Hong Kong integrates animal care, education, and operations to deliver meaningful visitor experiences. This EDUTour offers an exclusive behind the scenes of the park’s zoological facilities to understand how mission driven design and daily management support both animal welfare and guest engagement.

Through guided visits to the Giant Panda Adventure, Little Meerkat and Giant Tortoise Adventure, and the Grand Aquarium, participants will explore the park’s conservation initiatives, sustainable practices, and environmental enrichment strategies that promote animal welfare.

14:15 -14:35 | Depart from Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong to Ocean Park Hong Kong

14:35 – 14:45 | Meet & Greet and Grouping: Welcome Remarks by Mr. Ivan Wong, Chief Executive of Ocean Park Corporation

14:45 – 17:00 | Exclusive Guided Tour: Back-of-house access to the Giant Panda Adventure & Grand Aquarium, followed by a front-of-house visit to the Little Meerkat & Giant Tortoise Adventure

17:00 – 17:30 | Tour concludes and depart from Ocean Park Hong Kong to return to HKCE

Transportation

• Badge Collection & Meeting Point: Please meet at the IAAPA registration counter located at the Lower Lobby of Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong at 14:00 for badge collection.
• Shuttle Departures: Shuttles will depart from the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel promptly at 14:15. For the return trip, shuttles will depart from Ocean Park Hong Kong to return to HKCEC promptly at 17:00.
• Important Reminder: We highly encourage all ticket holders to arrive on time. Failure to arrive on time may result in the forfeiture of your transport seat, and attendees will need to arrange their own transit to the park.
• For Self-Arranged Transportation: If you plan to drive or take personal transit directly to the venue, please ensure you arrive at the Ocean Park Hong Kong main entrance at 14:35 to join our group.

Useful Tips

• Food & Beverage: Please note that food and beverage will not be included during the tour. Attendees are welcome to bring their own personal water bottles to stay refreshed throughout the afternoon.
• Photography & Videography: To respect the privacy of the park's operational environment, please keep cameras and video recording paused while inside all back-of-house areas.
• Parking Information: For attendees driving to the park, paid self-parking spaces are available at the main car park of Ocean Park Hong Kong. You may review the rates and directions via the Ocean Park Hong Kong Parking Guide.
• Attire & Safety Protocols: The proper attire for the afternoon is business casual. To ensure a seamless and safe experience while walking through the back-of-house zones, closed-toe shoes are ideal when navigating stairs and walkthrough areas, while dresses, skirts, sandals, and high heels should be avoided. Additionally, to support the park’s biosecurity measures, all participants will be guided to step briefly on a shoe disinfecting mat prior to entering the animal facilities.
• Age Requirements: This EDUTour experience is designed exclusively for attendees aged 18 and above.
• Weather: As June weather in Hong Kong can be unpredictable, we highly recommend bringing rain gear for the outdoor portions of the tour.

Entry to this EDUTour is tied directly to your Expo badge. Due to limited capacity, this event is officially sold out, and no on-site ticket sales will be available. Please be reminded that all special event tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
